SHELDON, IA — Republican Senator Joni Ernst continues her 99-county tour today in O'Brien County.
She visited AGP Ag Processing Inc in Sheldon Iowa where she met with many different Ag-Business leaders to discuss the recent struggles within the farming economy.
One main topic they focused on discussing is maintaining a strong farm bill that will benefit Iowa's agricultural community.
"Overall what we want to do is maintain a strong farm bill that benefits our agricultural community and so just talking through some of those issues whether it's crop insurance issues whether it's CRP high quality land that's going into conservation. Those are all issues we talked about today," said Sen. Joni Ernst.
Senator Ernst also said keeping up renewable fuels and working on bio-diesel projects are very important to supporting the industry.
