Ahead of SCOTUS Hearing, Ernst Says, “The Mississippi law will save lives.”

Ernst, a mom and proud advocate for life, highlighted that the science is clear—at 15 weeks babies have a fully developed heart, have fingers and toes, can kick and jump, and can feel pain. Ernst said that states must be allowed to update their laws accordingly.

WASHINGTON—Ahead of the Supreme Court hearing on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), a mom and proud advocate for life, highlighted that the science is clear—at 15 weeks babies have a fully developed heart, have fingers and toes, can kick and jump, and can feel pain. Ernst said that states must be allowed to update their laws accordingly.

Ernst stated the Mississippi law will save lives, and it will allow voters in states like Iowa to make decisions that protect the most vulnerable in our society, the unborn.
