As Harvest and Winter Approach, Ernst Calls on Democrats to Reopen American Energy

With harvest season ramping up, farmers across Iowa and the Midwest are facing sky-high costs.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) today recalled her own memories of harvest season in Iowa and highlighted how this year’s harvest is going to be more expensive than previous years, citing record high diesel fuel and liquid propane costs, as well as higher heating costs to keep livestock warm. Ernst called on the Democrats to promote commonsense solutions, like Senate Republicans’ permitting reform effort, to help reopen American energy production.
