Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, Small Business, Agriculture, and Armed Services
WASHINGTON – In the 119th Congress, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) will join the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee and become chair of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship in addition to continuing her roles on the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry and the Senate Armed Services Committee.
“In this new Republican majority, I’m ready to hit the ground running to serve Iowans,” said Ernst. “After four years of Biden in the White House and a Schumer-controlled Senate, we can now counter Democrats’ reckless spending on radical, far left priorities and get our country back on track. Through my work on these committees, I will continue fighting for a Farm Bill that prioritizes our farmers, supporting our small businesses, keeping Iowans safe at home and abroad, slashing government spending and overreach, and making Washington squeal. Let’s get to work!”
Background:
