Ernst Brings Iowans’ Voices to Washington: Uphold the RFS, Lower Costs of Health Care, Pass the USMCA

WASHINGTON—Following a month of traveling across Iowa on her 99 County Tour, hearing from Iowans in every corner of the state, Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) is continuing to bring Iowans’ voices to Washington and fight on their behalf. Throughout the last month, Senator Ernst heard directly from Iowans about the need to uphold the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS), to lower the costs of prescription drugs, to address workforce challenges, and to pass the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). Senator Ernst amplified the issues top-of-mind for Iowans to her colleagues.

During August, Senator Ernst crisscrossed the state on her 99 County Tour, holding 11 town hall meetings as well as making 37 other visits and county tour stops, having three bills signed into law, hosting one Senate committee field hearing, and meeting and speaking with thousands of Iowans along the way.
