Ernst Names Small Business of the Week, American Farm Company

Throughout this Congress, Ranking Member Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties.

RED OAK, Iowa – U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Ranking Member of the Senate Small Business Committee, today announced her Small Business of the Week: American Farm Company of Sioux County. Throughout this Congress, Ranking Member Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties.

“Rachel and the entire team at American Farm Company have a reputation for quality, creativity, and authenticity that sets them apart as a leader in Sioux County,” said Ranking Member Ernst. “They serve farmers and all of Iowa by telling the story of American agriculture and connecting consumers with high-quality products from family farms.”

Founded by Rachel Granstra in 2021, American Farm Company began as a clothing line specially designed to represent farmers, ranchers, farm wives, and farm families. Today, American Farm Company sells a variety of products, including crewneck sweaters, t-shirts, headwear, backpacks, and flags. The team now employs 20 women who help fulfill orders for its growing online retail business. As part of a multi-generational farm family, Rachel takes pride in her agricultural roots and strives to use her direct-to-consumer online apparel business to promote farming and agriculture in a way that reaches the next generation.

Stay tuned as Ranking Member Ernst recognizes more Iowa small businesses across the state with her Small Business of the Week award.
