Throughout this Congress, Ranking Member Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties.
RED OAK, Iowa – U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Ranking Member of the Senate Small Business Committee, today announced her Small Business of the Week: Blue-9 Pet Products of Jackson County. Throughout this Congress, Ranking Member Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties.
“I want to commend David Blake and the entire team at Blue-9 Pet Products for the research, innovation, and care that goes into creating each of their products,” said Ranking Member Ernst. “David goes above and beyond to support his customers and their pets, and I look forward to watching Blue-9 Pet Products continue to serve dog trainers in Iowa and around the country.”
Driven by his love of dogs and in-depth knowledge of the canine training community, David Blake of Maquoketa, Iowa, founded Blue-9 Pet Products in 2014 to provide dogs and their owners with high-quality training devices. Blue-9 Pet Products is dedicated to developing effective training tools rooted in research, routinely gathering input from respected trainers, veterinarians, and animal behaviorists to perfect their designs. Their products are now used by trainers around the country. David is passionate about making Iowa a more dog-friendly place and hosts a canine athlete competition each year at the Jackson County Fairgrounds to fundraise for the Jackson County Humane Society. He also supports other small businesses by volunteering with the Jackson County Economic Alliance to share his experience with new entrepreneurs.
Stay tuned as Ranking Member Ernst recognizes more Iowa small businesses across the state with her Small Business of the Week award.
