Throughout this Congress, Ranking Member Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties.
RED OAK, Iowa – U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Ranking Member of the Senate Small Business Committee, today announced her Small Business of the Week: Hawkeye Fabrication and Hi-Way Products of Ida County. Throughout this Congress, Ranking Member Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties.
“Members of the Bogue family have been proud Hawkeyes and successful business owners for three generations,”said Ranking Member Ernst. “They honor their roots in Ida Grove and at the University of Iowa by giving back to both their community and the university. I’m proud to recognize the hard work and generosity they’ve established through Hawkeye Fabrication and Hi-Way Products.”
In 1969, Richard Bogue founded Hi-Way Products as an aluminum fabricator for bridge handrails. Thirty years later, in 1999, Richard’s son, Mark, founded Hawkeye Fabrication. Today, the two businesses operate in tandem under the leadership of Mark and his wife, Jaclyn. Hawkeye Fabrication handles the business’s fabrication needs, while Hi-Way Products directs the sales. Three generations of the Bogue family have been involved with the business after attending the University of Iowa. Various family members also give back to the Ida Grove community by serving on the volunteer fire department, the school board, and the city council.
Stay tuned as Ranking Member Ernst recognizes more Iowa small businesses across the state with her Small Business of the Week award.
