Throughout this Congress, Ranking Member Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties.
RED OAK, Iowa – U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Ranking Member of the Senate Small Business Committee, today announced her Small Business of the Week: Lakefront Living of Marion County. Throughout this Congress, Ranking Member Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties.
“Lakefront Living is a shore stop if you’re visiting Pleasantville, from customizable tumblers to personalized apparel and accessories, this boutique shop has something for everyone,” said Ranking Member Ernst. “They also build local collaboration and community support by featuring products from other small businesses across the Midwest.”
In 2018, Stacy Rowson started Lakefront Living out of her home, where she created and sold wedding sand and custom vases. In 2019, Stacy purchased and transformed an old grocery store into the brick-and-mortar storefront where Lakefront Living remains today. Over time, Stacy began specializing in custom-designed apparel, accessories, and gifts. The company collaborates with small businesses around the Midwest to bring their products into the store and even hosts various community events. Next year, it will celebrate its fifth anniversary.
Stay tuned as Ranking Member Ernst recognizes more Iowa small businesses across the state with her Small Business of the Week award.
