Throughout this Congress, Ranking Member Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties.
RED OAK, Iowa – U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Ranking Member of the Senate Small Business Committee, today announced her Small Business of the Week: Lichtsinn RV of Winnebago County. Throughout this Congress, Ranking Member Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties.
“Lichtsinn RV has been steering customers to Forest City, Iowa, for over 40 years. They offer a wide selection of American-made vehicles, built for adventure,” said Ranking Member Ernst. “A commitment to community and industry excellence is the fuel that drives Lichtsinn RV.”
In 1976, Ron Lichtsinn Sr. founded Lichtsinn Motors, which primarily sold American-made general motor vehicles. Three years later, he partnered with the founder of Winnebago and expanded the company to sell recreational vehicles and motor homes as well. Ron Sr. ran the business for 25 years before selling it to his son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Hope, in 2001. In 2015, Lichtsinn Motors officially rebranded as Lichtsinn RV and earned recognition as the top Winnebago Motor Home Dealer in North America.
Stay tuned as Ranking Member Ernst recognizes more Iowa small businesses across the state with her Small Business of the Week award.
