RED OAK, Iowa – U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Ranking Member of the Senate Small Business Committee, today announced her Small Business of the Week: M’s Machine and Manufacturing Company of Clayton County. Throughout this Congress, Ranking Member Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties.
“M’s Machine and Manufacturing Company is committed to its customers, employees, and community," said Ranking Member Ernst. "This National Women's Small Business Month, I'm proud to celebrate this women-owned business which provides high-quality and cost-effective machine services in northeastern Iowa and the Midwest."
For over 40 years, M’s Machine and Manufacturing Company has provided original equipment manufacturers with computer numerical control (CNC) machining services. The Monona-based company offers CNC machined parts to Midwest agriculture, automotive, industrial, and medical industries. It has been women-owned and operated since 1989, when Virginia Drahn purchased the business from its founders. Since then, four generations of the Drahn family have worked at the company, with Casey, Candace, and Cory Drahn taking on ownership in 2008.
