Ernst Names Small Business of the Week, Raymon Enterprises

Throughout this Congress, Ranking Member Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties.

RED OAK, Iowa – U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Ranking Member of the Senate Small Business Committee, today announced her Small Business of the Week: Raymon Enterprises of Marshall County. Throughout this Congress, Ranking Member Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties.

“Raymon Enterprises is an incredible family-run business whose core values of caring for their employees, customers, and community have allowed them to grow and thrive for more than five decades,” said Ranking Member Ernst. “What started out as a small Iowa business now serves customers across the country and in Canada. Raymon Enterprises has earned its reputation for quality products and thoughtful service, and I’m excited to watch their continued success.”

Raymon Enterprises was founded in 1973 by Don Martin under the name Donco Industries. In 1985, Larry Raymon and his wife, Joynell, purchased the company and moved it to Albion, Iowa. In 2006, Donco Industries was officially renamed Raymon Enterprises. In 2022, Larry’s son Chad became president of the company that today employs more than 80 people and operates out of a 65,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility in Albion. In addition to owning Raymon Enterprises, Larry believed in giving back to his community, something he lived out by serving in the Army National Guard and founding the Marshalltown Economic Development Impact Committee. In February 2024, Larry passed away, leaving behind a lasting legacy for his family and community. Raymon Enterprises will celebrate its 40th anniversary of operating in Albion in August of 2024.

Stay tuned as Ranking Member Ernst recognizes more Iowa small businesses across the state with her Small Business of the Week award.
