Ernst: On 99 County Tour, Iowans Said Washington Needs to Rein in Spending, Focus on Real Infrastructure Needs

WASHINGTON—After visiting with Iowans in almost 30 counties across the state over the past two weeks as part of her 99 County Tour for 2021, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) said that one of the main concerns she heard from hardworking Iowans was that Washington Democrats need to rein in their out of control spending. Ernst stated that Iowans were disappointed with the Biden administration’s partisan wish list items they included in the latest “COVID relief” bill, and wanted Congress to focus on a targeted infrastructure package that will support their roads, bridges, locks, dams, and potentially broadband.
