Ernst Reaffirms Commitment to Never Forget 9/11
WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), a veteran of the Global War on Terrorism, released the following video in honor of the 23rd anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks:

“23 years ago, America was attacked.
“3,000 of our countrymen were killed, forcing families to say goodbye to their loved ones far too soon.
“September 11, 2001 tested our nation in ways we could never have imagined.
“Yet, it also revealed the profound strength and resilience of the American spirit.
“Without hesitation, first responders and medical professionals jumped to action and rushed into danger to save their fellow citizens.
“Everyday men and women became heroes in an instant – preventing even more attacks on our homeland.
“America stood united – unwavering in our resolve to never let fear dictate our future.
“Today, we reaffirm our commitment to Never Forget, and always remember.
“We must regain our patriotism and be ever vigilant to safeguard the freedoms we too often take for granted.
“May God bless the families of the fallen heroes of 9/11, and may God continue to protect these great United States of America.”
