WASHINGTON – Yesterday, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) competed in the annual Congressional Baseball Game. The GOP team defended their three-peat champion title and won 16-6 at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.
Ernst was one of five women on the field and one of two senators on the Republican team. While Nationals Park is no Field of Dreams, the Iowa delegation showed up in full force with Reps. Feenstra and Miller-Meeks playing alongside Ernst.
“Whether I’m on the Senate floor or on the field, I want to bring home wins for Iowans,” said Senator Ernst. “Enjoying America’s game while raising funds for local charities is a WIN – WIN.”
