Ensures Iowa’s role in our national defense
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, secured the Army’s commitment to continue construction of the Future Artillery Complex in Middletown, Iowa. After the Army announced a plan last year to increase 155mm artillery munitions production, she followed up to ensure this work would remain at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant.

“Given the magnitude of this project, particularly as our allies are relying on us to lead and serve as the arsenal of democracy worldwide, the supply of munitions remains a crucial factor, especially when it comes to the 155,” Ernst said.
