Ernst Slams Biden’s Unaffordable, Untenable, and Out-of-Touch Budget

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Chairman of the Republican Policy Committee and Ranking Member of the Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee, released the following statement on President Biden’s FY2024 budget request to Congress:

“Higher taxes and expensive partisan, pet projects: the Democrats’ reckless tax and spend spree continues. This budget is unaffordable, untenable, and out-of-touch with Iowans’ needs,” said Ernst. “President Biden’s budgeting is a lot like Whack-a-Mole. He keeps digging the country deeper in the hole while doing everything he can to hide Washington’s waste so it doesn’t get whacked. In the name of taxpayer transparency, I’ll keep fighting to expose Biden’s progressive priorities and end his spending frenzy.”
