Ernst Slams Crises Created by Democrats, Says Iowans are Frustrated

WASHINGTON—U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) slammed Washington Democrats for the crises they have created—from the botched exit of Afghanistan, to the humanitarian disaster at the southern border, to the proposed reckless spending and tax increases.

In stark contrast, Ernst highlighted the fiscal responsibility of her home state of Iowa—that ended this fiscal year with a $1.2 billion surplus and had a second quarter GDP growth that exceeded the national average—as a model Washington should follow.
