Ernst Statement on Air Force Secretary Confirmation

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Joni Ernst, a combat veteran and member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, issued the following statement after the United States Senate confirmed Dr. Heather Wilson to be Secretary of the U.S. Air Force:

“I am pleased Dr. Wilson was confirmed today to be Secretary of the Air Force and to see another important civilian leadership position filled in our military,” said Ernst. “During her confirmation hearing, I received commitment from Dr. Wilson that she will work with me on my priorities, including finding ways to cut wasteful spending, and combatting and preventing military sexual assault and retaliation, and I look forward to working with her on these issues.”
