Ernst Statement on Coats Confirmation

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Joni Ernst, issued the following statement after the United States Senate confirmed former U.S. Senator from Indiana, Dan Coats, to be Director of National Intelligence:  

“As a former Congressman, Senator, and U.S. Ambassador to Germany, Dan Coats has extensive experience with issues of national security. While in Congress, he was actively engaged in enhancing our counterintelligence and counterterrorism, and he knows what it takes to keep Americans safe at home and abroad. Dan has admirably served our great nation, and I look forward to his continued leadership in this new role.”
