Ernst Statement on Confirmation of Iowan, Rachel Brand, to be U.S. Associate Attorney General

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Joni Ernst, issued the following statement after the United States Senate confirmed Rachel L. Brand of Pella, Iowa, to be Associate Attorney General of the United States:

“It is with great pride that I support Rachel Brand of Pella, Iowa to serve as U.S. Associate Attorney General,” said Senator Ernst. “In addition to leading a distinguished legal career in both private practice and public service, Ms. Brand will be the first woman to serve the country as Associate Attorney General. She is, without a doubt, the right choice for this role, and I look forward to her continued public service to our nation.”
