WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Joni Ernst, a member of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, issued the following statement after differing reports emerged over potential changes to the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS). “I will continue to oppose any moves that undermine the Renewable Fuel Standard or create unnecessary uncertainty in the marketplace. As I pointed out last week in my letter to EPA Administrator Pruitt, moving the point of obligation would do precisely that, harming numerous industries that oppose this move, while benefiting a very select few. I will continue to push back against any attempts to destabilize the renewable fuels marketplace, regardless of where they originate.” |
