WASHINGTON—After a years-long, hard fought effort, Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) had her
bipartisan legislation to build a memorial on the National Mall honoring the veterans of the Global War on Terrorism
signed into law, guaranteeing that the memorial will soon become a reality.

on Ernst’s successful effort, stating:
“Part of the [NDAA] signed yesterday was a provision creating a Global War on Terrorism memorial. The effort is led by Senators Joni Ernst of Iowa and Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire.”
