Retired Lt. Col. Ernst Thanks Men and Women of the Iowa National Guard
The Iowa senator, and former national guardsmen, also joined a bipartisan majority of her colleagues in emphasizing the importance of the filibuster in the Senate.
WASHINGTON—After attending both the
welcome home ceremony for the 147th Iowa National Guard Unit and the
sendoff ceremony for the 734th RSG Iowa National Guard Unit at Camp Dodge this past weekend, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), a combat veteran, once again recognized the
important role of National Guard troops over the last year and thanked them for their service.
Ernst also joined a bipartisan majority of her colleagues in emphasizing the importance of maintaining the legislative filibuster in the Senate.
