On 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment, Ernst and Grassley Pay Tribute to Suffragettes

RED OAK, Iowa—One hundred years after women in Iowa, and the country, gained the right to vote, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA), the first woman elected to federal office from the state of Iowa, and Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) are paying tribute to the suffragettes who paved the way for women everywhere. In a video, Senator Grassley tells Senator Ernst the story of his mother, who was one of the first women in Iowa to vote under the Nineteenth Amendment.
