WQAD: Sen. Ernst Reaches First 100 Days Milestone

"A milestone for U.S. Senator Joni Ernst... The Iowa republican has reached 100-days in office. Senator Ernst describes herself as a "fresh face" in Washington, D.C. She's introducing legislation to improve access to mental healthcare for veterans... speaking out on medicare and budget reforms... and getting some hands-on experience with agriculture and foreign policy. Senator Ernst spoke to News Eight about the changes between being a candidate and an elected official, "There's a huge difference, hearing great things and now being able to actually impact some of those great ideas and thoughts that come out of Iowa."
