After Kicking off 99 County Tour, Ernst Says Iowans Concerned About Inflation, Dems’ Agenda is Out of Touch
WASHINGTON—After
kicking off her eighth annual 99 County Tour on Monday and speaking directly with Iowans in the state, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) said that Iowans are concerned about the rising costs of food, energy, and gasoline. Ernst said she did not hear anyone asking for the federal government to takeover local elections or for lawmakers to destroy the Senate by abolishing the filibuster.
Ernst lauded Iowa’s voting system as a great example for the rest of the country—including New York and Delaware—and called on her Democratic colleagues to get out of the Washington, D.C., bubble and participate in their own county tours to hear what is on the minds of their constituents.
